New 2018 Yellow book incorporates the COSO Framework into the Performance
Auditing World. How does this merge with the performance audit risk
assessment? This course will look at the key risk areas of each of the Five
Components of Internal Controls that should be considered when assessing risk.
We will walk through each component and review practical examples to discuss
how properly assess each example as a group. We will end with real fraud
examples that have occurred over the past 5 years and how proper monitoring can
prevent or detect against these common fraud activities.
