CEA C - Chief Internal Auditor (CPUC) - FFD 10/28

This is a high level management position that reports directly to the Commissioners and under the generadirection of the President.  The incumbent serves as the California Public Utilities Commission’s Chief Internal Auditor and is responsible for planning,organizing and directing the activities of the department's Office of Internal Audit Services (IAS)including, but not limited to: internacontrol (fiscal and management), information technology, and operational and financial audits. The incumbent works directly with the Commission’s Audit Committee comprised of the President and one other Commissioner.

Associate Management Auditor (Aging) - FFD 11/2

Under direction of the Chief Auditor, the Associate Management Auditor independently performs fiscal and compliance audits of the California Department of Aging (CDA) programs that are funded with state and federal funds and awarded by CDA to local agencies, such as Area Agencies on Aging and Multipurpose Senior Services Programs. The fiscal and compliance audits require a high level of independence and a thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Associate Management Auditor shall have knowledge of, but not limited to, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the ability to apply such standards and principles. The Associate Management Auditor is expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent will be responsible for fiscal and compliance audits, single audit reports, quality assurance and other marginal duties.

Program Auditor (EDD) - FFD Until Filled

The EDD is seeking Associate Management Auditors* to join the Audit and Evaluation Division. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills. Experience as an auditor being a project lead in providing guidance to an audit team, and the ability to use computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and/or TeamMate are also desired. Because most of our work is performed either individually or in teams, applicants should like working with others and helping foster teamwork both as a member and as a leader. Finally, success in our office comes to those individuals who show initiative and are self-starters with a strong desire to be challenged to attain professional growth.
