Financial and Performance Evaluator (DOF) - FFD 10/28

The Department of Finance is currently recruiting for two Financial and Performance Evaluator (FTP)  positions. 


The FPE I is the entry and first working level in the Financial and Performance Evaluator series. Under supervision, incumbents assist in the planning, data gathering, analysis, and consultative duties associated with most assignments. Incumbents conclude and report as to the adequacy, completeness, and accuracy of data and/or other work products. Incumbents may also independently perform smaller or less complex assignments and/or assist in the completion of a segment of a larger or more complex assignment.

FPE II is the full journeyperson level in the Financial and Performance Evaluator series requiring self-direction, independence, and proficiency in handling complex, sensitive, and difficult assignments. Under direction, incumbents utilize a wide range of analytical skills in planning, gathering, and analyzing information, drawing appropriate conclusions, and formulating recommendations. As lead, incumbents plan, direct, and coordinate the work of assigned staff to produce high quality work products.


FTE II Job Announcement 

Program Auditor (EDD) - FFD Until Filled

The EDD is seeking Associate Management Auditors* to join the Audit and Evaluation Division. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills. Experience as an auditor being a project lead in providing guidance to an audit team, and the ability to use computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and/or TeamMate are also desired. Because most of our work is performed either individually or in teams, applicants should like working with others and helping foster teamwork both as a member and as a leader. Finally, success in our office comes to those individuals who show initiative and are self-starters with a strong desire to be challenged to attain professional growth.

Principal Management Internal Auditor (SANDAG) - FFD 10/18

Under general administrative direction of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, the Office of the Independent Performance Auditor reviews SANDAG programs, functions, operations, management systems, and procedures to assess whether the agency is achieving economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the full use of resources. The Office also reviews compliance with the agency’s administrative policies, procedures, and regulations including reviews of funding, revenue streams, capital programs, expenditures, enterprise risk management, public bid process, transportation, and other regional planning programs and initiatives that impact the region.

The independent audit function is a catalyst for helping SANDAG accomplish its objectives by using a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, governance processes, and management controls. This objective source of advice helps SANDAG showcase its commitment to integrity and accountability allowing the agency to continue along the path of providing valuable improvements for the San Diego region.

Deputy Auditor Controller (County of Solano) - FFD Until Filled

Solano County is looking for two individuals to lead a team of professional accountants and auditors. The Deputy Auditor Controller under general direction from the Assistant Auditor Controller, will plan, organize, and direct the operations of a division/divisions in the Auditor-Controller’s Office in accounting and auditing. The Deputy Auditor Controller provides policy direction in accounting and auditing to departments, evaluates and ensures the reliability of financial reporting; analyzes and provides complex financial data; interprets laws, mandates, regulations and provides technical assistance and advice to the Board of County Supervisors, CAO, Federal, State, local agencies and the public. The Auditor Controller has two Deputy Auditor Controller openings in the following divisions: Internal Audit and Accounting.
