Investment Officer I (CalPERS) - FFD 7/3

Investment Officer I position at CalPERS. Enterprise Compliance promotes and supports an organizational culture which builds internal controls and compliance awareness into the daily business processes for all CalPERS business lines and program areas. The branch partners with CalPERS business areas to ensure adequate policies and procedures are in place and an internal control infrastructure that provides assurance that program areas abide by all applicable laws, regulations, policies and best practices.

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, the Investment Officer I will perform less complex investment analysis, research, risk management, and investment compliance work. In all tasks and communications, the incumbent demonstrates CalPERS core values, works well as a member of a team, and take initiative. 

The Investment Officer I will apply investment compliance knowledge and industry best practices, as well as project management techniques to plan and manage investment compliance initiatives that establish effective program environment of operational compliance, internal controls for oversight and monitoring.
