Mastering the 2024 Yellow Book Standards

“The Yellow Book” gives us the standards and guidance for government auditing—outlining the requirements we use when auditing government programs and spending. These standards continue to change and evolve, and the latest 2024 Yellow Book revision is no exception.  If you work with governments or not-for-profits, a thorough understanding of the Yellow Book, and it’s recent changes, is essential to your success.

This course focuses on how we use the Yellow Book across all the different types of engagements we are called upon to conduct.  Whether it’s a financial or performance audit or an attestation engagement, the Yellow Book has it covered – and we’ll cover it all in this course.  Along with the broad rules that apply to all Yellow Book engagements, we’ll survey the standards for each different type of engagement and pay some special attention to the change from “quality control” to “quality management”.
