Course Overview:

Technology, innovation, and business processes drastically changed in the past 20 years while many internal audit processes and approaches have not. For example, historically, auditors looked for signatures, now signatures are automated and do not exist in physical form. The audit approach must adapt to these types of automated business controls. This one day seminar allows participants to identify gaps between the business process and the audit process, as well as explore all the steps needed to prepare an effective audit program. You will understand the importance of the engagement level risk assessment and will prepare a risk-based audit program.  You will learn how to determine the engagement scope and set engagement objectives. By incorporating the use of frameworks, you will be able to quickly identify relevant controls and write audit test steps to test those controls.
